TERHADAP PEMBERIAN PUPUK KOTORAN AYAM PADA TANAH GAMBUT

(Response of Six Genotypes Castor Oil Plant (Jatropha curcas L.) to the Application of Organic Fertilizer on Peat Soil)

Abstract

A field experiment was carried out at Non Degree Program Experiment Station of Agricultural Faculty of Palangka Raya University during ten Months from August 2007 to May 2008. The Objectives of this experiment were to study response of six genotypes castor oil plant to the application of organic fertilizer on peat soil. The factors studied were arangged in factorial pattern in Randomized Completed Design. The treatmens were complete combinations of two factors, namely genotype considered of six genotypes (G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, and G6) and organic fertilizer, consisted of two levels (0 and 20 ton ha-1). Result of the experiment indicated that (1) there is no interaction effect between genotype and organic fertilizer for all variable ; (2) the genotype were studied is not very different in morfology, so that posibbility of non very different in genetic ; (3) organic fertilizer application has positive influence to number of flower per plant.

Abstrak

Percobaan lapangan telah dilakukan di kebun percobaan program Diploma-3 Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Palangka Raya selama 10 bulan dari bulan Agustus 2007 sampai bulan Mei 2008. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui respons enam genotip tanaman jarak pagar terhadap pemberian pupuk kotoran ayam pada tanah gambut. Percobaan disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola faktorial dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor-faktor yang diteliti adalah : (1) genotipe jarak pagar sebanyak 6 genotip, yaitu G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, dan G6 : (2) pupuk kotoran ayam dengan dua taraf, yaitu 0 dan 20 ton ha-1. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa (1) tidak terdapat efek interaksi antara genotip dengan pupuk kotoran ayam pada semua variabel yang diamati ; (2) 6 genotip yang dicobakan tidak berbeda jauh secara morfologi, sehingga diduga tidak berbeda jauh secara genetik ; (3) pemberian pupuk kotoran ayam berpengaruh positif terhadap jumlah bunga jantan dan jumlah bunga betina per tanaman.
